Fashion-trained kitchen designer

A designer’s eye for the room you live in most.

You don’t want a sales pitch. You want someone who clearly has more taste than the showroom, who listens to how you actually live, and who is there from the first sketch to the last cabinet pull.

Virginia Tesi, fashion-trained kitchen designer
Her story

Virginia trained at the Fashion Institute of Technology and spent two decades moving between the worlds of fashion and interiors. Both taught her the same lesson: proportion, color, and material are what decide whether a space feels considered or merely furnished. The same eye that knows why one silhouette works and another does not is the eye that knows why one kitchen feels effortless and another feels off, even when you cannot say why.

Of every room in a home, the kitchen became the one she loved most. It is where a family actually lives, where mornings start and evenings gather, and it is the room most worth getting right. It is also the room where the stakes are highest: a six-figure decision you look at every single day for years.

Today she brings that trained eye to Charlotte homeowners who want a kitchen designed to them, not stamped with someone else’s signature look. She works with a small number of clients at a time, by design, so every kitchen gets her full attention from concept through installation.

Why a fashion-trained eye matters in a kitchen

Most kitchens are built. The best ones are styled.

A contractor can build almost anything you put in front of them. The hard part is deciding what to put in front of them, so the cabinets, stone, hardware, lighting, and paint read as one intentional room instead of a collection of good individual choices that never quite agree. That is a styling problem as much as a building problem, and it is exactly what a fashion-trained designer is built to solve: editing, proportioning, and pairing until the whole thing feels inevitable. It is also why a Tesi kitchen tends to age well. Trends are easy to chase and expensive to undo. Taste lasts.

How Virginia works

The way every Tesi kitchen gets made.

Designed to you

Your kitchen should look like you, not like a designer’s portfolio. We start from your taste and make it buildable.

The plan first

Nothing is ordered until the whole kitchen is designed and approved in 3D. Decisions made on paper are cheap; decisions made on a job site are not.

One designer accountable

From first sketch to final reveal, one person owns the result and coordinates the rest, so you are never the project manager.

Credentials

Trained, credentialed, accountable.
