Design plus build management is 12 to 15 percent of the construction budget when Virginia manages the project. On a $120,000 kitchen, that is roughly $14,000 to $18,000 for a designer accountable through every phase.

Design fees are predictable. The total project cost depends on the choices you make, and we are transparent about all of them from the first conversation. The biggest factors:

How does design pricing work?
Design is a flat fee by scope, not an hourly rate, so there is no meter running while you make decisions. The three tiers (Signature, Premier, Bespoke) cover most kitchens; your exact fee is confirmed after the first visit, once we understand the project.
What does the first visit cost?
Nothing. The first visit is free. Virginia looks at the space and tells you what the project involves. You pay only when the design work begins.
What does the whole kitchen cost, not just design?
Most designer-led kitchens in Charlotte are a $75,000 to $200,000+ investment all in. Design is a small fraction of that, and it is the part that protects the rest.
